This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on the Flowpatrol website and service, and what choices you have.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use it. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others help us improve your experience.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential cookies (always active)
These cookies are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication session | Session / 1 year |
__session | Session management | Session |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection during sign-up and login | Up to 30 minutes |
fp_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent preference (localStorage) | Persistent |
Analytics cookies (opt-in only)
We use PostHog (EU instance, hosted in Frankfurt) for product analytics. These cookies are only set if you accept cookies via the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is collected.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ph_* | PostHog anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage) | 1 year |
PostHog analytics are configured to:
- Respect the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal;
- Anonymize IP addresses;
- Not track users across different websites;
- Not collect personally identifiable information.
Third-party cookies
We do not use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels. If you interact with embedded content from third-party services (e.g., a YouTube video in a blog post), those services may set their own cookies. We have no control over third-party cookies.
3. Managing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of any page. This will reset your consent and show the cookie banner again.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are stored;
- Delete individual or all cookies;
- Block cookies from specific or all sites;
- Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies.
Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly (e.g., staying logged in).
4. Consent Logging
When you accept or decline cookies, we log your decision server-side with an anonymized IP address and timestamp. This record allows us to demonstrate compliance with GDPR consent requirements. We do not use this data for any other purpose.
5. Do Not Track
We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. When DNT is enabled, our analytics tools will not track your activity regardless of your cookie consent status.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this policy and notify you where required by law.
